ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

What Mumbai went through in the last 24 hours has left me disturbed and terrified to an extent. In my city, where I pay my taxes without fail, use public resources responsibly and live up to its so called spirit, i feel helpless and shattered. Having not gone through the ordeal myself, only allows me to write this, but does not leave me feeling any fortunate than the people who actually went through the terror because I know its going to happen to me sooner or later.
I am back at work today and so is the rest of the city, buzzing again with business but we do not have an option to doing so. Its not the much hyped crap of the 'Spirit of Mumbai ' that has got me going, it is the need to sustain in this damned expensive city, whose government ceases to take responsibility of its terror stuck people. So, people like me, with terror in heart and attitude of helplessness get back to business.
One face of government or rather Public Service arm on the other hand fills my heart with great pride and sense of belonging to this city, which is the valour of the our police, armed forces and all the people out there who fought out bravely, lost there lives while doing so. But apart from a monetary compensation, what is the government going to give their families. Their valour, sacrifice will soon be forgotten, once out of the media scene.
What can we do to justify their sacrifice ? To ensure our safety in future ? Do we not have the the right to information about the safety measures, government is planning to take in the futer? Isn't it high time to burst the myth bubble of Spirit of Mumbai which allows our politicians to just sit back and watch us getting back to superficial normalcy? So, should we write a petition to the government or a letter to the C. M.  I know, as an individual I am not equipped to find answers to all the questions I have, so please spare a moment and share your views.

People I agree with Deepti, I dont feel any thing safe about this city any more. I think the complete system is rotton to the core.
Its time we need a movement from this system, this useless politicians. I really feel sorry for this policemen who are give a lathi and 303 rifles (which are suppose to be in a musume) and asked to fight Terrorists with all the latest guns.
Its a high time that this system changes and have a greater national interst than fight among ourself on North Indian South Indian issue. We really dont need any more Lalus Nitesh or Raj , who are more intrested in local politics.

Its high time now, even while writting about this, i m not sure weather anything is goin to improve in this country. Jaago politicians jaago, faltu me apne party ka sirf promotions mat karo, usse acha take some actions against this. This is high alert for the government that if they want to run this country, they'l need the janta, and no one will trust them if all the people are not safe under these idiotic useless politicians. Lets do something...

Ye but the point is WHAT ?
I mean I would love to do ‘something’ but WHAT IS that something?
It wont be long before people forget about this tragedy and get back to their lives (only to be woken up again by a bigger disaster) as seen plenty of times before.
How do we ensure that this remains alive in the minds of the people and somehow the politicians alike? Actually honestly speaking whatever little faith I had in the politicians is all gone now.
Its funny really – instead of figuring out strategies to capture these ‘super human terrorists’ they are busy with their internal shit of who should resign and who should take the vacant place to ‘restore their image’!! What more can I say other then the fact that I get depressed every morning reading the papers.

Anyways the point is not to cures the spineless politicians or to fuss about incompetence of the forces (considering they knew sea route was being used and they did nothing about it) but the question is what do we do so that this doesn’t die down like everything else?

Will a petition to the government stating they should declare all their work done in this area, to the public – weekly, with all the facts and figures – perhaps bills even. It can be declared in the newspapers.
Like weekly updates every company has. Shouldn’t they be accountable to us?
Or something… I don’t know what. I am just thinking allowed …
But this should not die down…
